Unabridged Student Comments:
“It is really useful but tough class. It requires a lot of effort, but the teacher
is so nice :) !”
“You did an excellent job of creating assignments that challenged us. You were unbelieveably patient and helpful with assignments. Your lectures were very clear, helpful, and used great examples. I’m not sure you could change anything to make the class better. You gave us every opportunity to succeed.”
“Great teacher!”
“Very enthusiastic! Helpful when she had the time. More 1-on-1 would have been helpful.”
“Lori was awesome! I’ve had really bad experiences with computing in the past so I felt lackluster about taking the course. Yet, Lori was such an excellent teacher that I feel a lot more comfortable with computing now. I cannot save enough good things about Lori! One of the best teachers I’ve had.”
“Like the teaching style – everything was presented clearly and logically. Also, I found the content to be relevant and useful for many things I have to do in my other (engineering) classes.”
“I had absolutely no idea what I was doing at the beginning of this course, but I now feel like I can handle MatLab very well. I definitely learned a ton. Thanks for being so pacient and helpful with my millions of questions.”
“Lori, thanks for the great class. You were a great instructor, thanks for always having such an excited and happy attitude during every class session. Even though this class was late, and long it was still enjoyable and you really taught me a lot. The only way I could suggest having this class be better in the future is to maybe have another person to help students, the wait did get long at times when needing to ask question but other wise it was a good course. :)”
